‘COLAZIONE DA ANDREAS’ — SS26
“Breakfast at Andreas’s”
by Alexandra I. Mas
This is the first dedicated menswear presentation since 2017, and it feels remarkable to return to Milan — the spiritual homeland of men’s fashion. The city breathes tailoring. It carries centuries of elegant silhouettes through its streets like ghosts in linen and suede.
This season, the collection is unveiled at Bar Rivoli, a café that has long been a quiet anchor in the city’s rhythm — where Milanese gather to begin and end their days. Located near San Babila, once the haunt of Fiorucci, and just steps from the brand’s flagship store, the choice of venue is not incidental. It’s a return, a restoration, a gesture of belonging.
From the Italian Renaissance to the age of the Grand Tour, British travellers have long been captivated by the Mediterranean lifestyle — and in return, they brought with them a sartorial rigor that Italians, in their genius, reinterpreted and made entirely their own.
‘COLAZIONE DA ANDREAS’ speaks in this hybrid tongue.
The mood is unmistakably that of the modern dandy: breezy, confident, romantic.
Lightweight hemp blends with soft tweed. Refined suede answers vibrant striped cottons and washed, printed poplin. There’s the whisper of old-world luxury, but everything is light, summery, and tactile.
It is a collection of contrasts held in perfect balance: the timeless grace of English tailoring paired with the “raffinato non so che milanese” — that refined, ineffable something only Milan can offer.
Inspired by a lifelong passion for Vivienne Westwood and the radical poetry of her philosophy, Andreas Khrolanther is sculpting a menswear language in which the male body is neither rigid nor passive, but expressive. Shaped. Assertive. Vulnerable. Where once there was manifesto, now there is norm — a new standard of elegance. The politics of fabric are subtle, but no less profound.
These clothes do not shout. They speak in tone, in gesture, in presence.
“It’s not about fashion. It’s a matter of style.”
Khrolanther’s silhouettes are a form of storytelling: a morning coat for the man who is not afraid of romance, a breezy striped suit for those who understand ease as a kind of authority. Each piece is an act of identity, not trend.
In an age where masculinity is questioned, expanded, and redefined, ‘COLAZIONE DA ANDREAS’ offers a wardrobe for the thoughtful, the elegant, the unapologetically individual. It honors the past — but wears it lightly.
At a moment when fashion is obsessed with speed, spectacle, and digital disintegration, this collection reminds us of something enduring:
when a man has style, it means something.
It means everything.
