There are spaces that speak louder than sound. the car park at Noisy-le-Grand, with its double helix curves of raw concrete and silent, spiralling vastness, is one such place. It does not whisper — it imposes.

Photographer Eléonore Djen Noël approached the location as a living architectural entity. Built between 1975 and 1977 by Jacques Kalisz, Roger Salem and urbanist Aymeric Zublena, the building is a monument to a once-future vision — sculptural, severe, and oddly cinematic. It belongs to the lineage of bold urban experiments from the era of the “villes nouvelles”, sharing its landscape with Ricardo Bofill’s iconic Espaces d’Abraxas. Allowing the brutalist contours to breathe and speak, the result is a body of work that captures presencea lingering emotional architecture suspended in time.

We extend our warmest thanks to the entire team of the car park at Noisy-le-Grand for their generous welcome and support throughout this creative journey.
Their attentiveness was invaluable — and most especially, we thank Nacer, whose kindness left a lasting mark.
