Laurence Pustetto Gallery at Knokke Art Fair 2025
August 9–17, 2025 | Daily from 15:00 to 20:00 | STANDS B8 & B11
In the refined air of Knokke, among the murmurs of collectors and the sea breeze, the Laurence Pustetto Gallery brings its singular vision to Belgium’s most audacious art fair. A beacon of culture in Libourne, and a reference across Bordeaux, Biarritz and the greater South West of France, the gallery presents an exhibition where rigour meets risk, and mastery meets mystery.
Art here is not a gamble; it is a calling.
This year, the Laurence Pustetto Gallery unveils new works that command attention: bold in form, precise in technique, and unafraid of the unknown. Expect unprecedented formats, groundbreaking methods, and pieces that strike the delicate chord between poetry and savoir-faire.
“New creations to discover: precise, bold, and truly innovative. Formats never before seen, techniques that take the breath away — a complete art that weaves poetry, aesthetics, and savoir-faire.
To collect is not to fill a wall. It is to enter into a dialogue. With a vision. A gesture. A trajectory. It is the desire to encounter. It is choosing to listen to what art has to say — to us — and choosing to love, even if it means going against the current.
The Laurence Pustetto Gallery takes its place in the only art fair held within a work of art itself — a boldness we fully embrace.” — Laurence Pustetto
Philippe Cognée, ‘Foule (rencontre dans le désert)’
2017, Wax painting on canvas mounted on wood, 153 x 200 cm
Among the artists presented:
Fabrice Hyber
One of France’s most prolific contemporary artists, Hyber’s hybrid practice bridges science, philosophy, biology, and poetry. Winner of the Golden Lion at the 1997 Venice Biennale, and member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts since 2018, his work is held by major institutions across Europe and beyond. The piece MUTE Mutant (2014), unseen since its private acquisition, is released once more — a pivotal moment in Hyber’s trajectory, available exclusively at Knokke.
Philippe Cognée
Master of the encaustic, Cognée transforms wax and pigment into blurred yet visceral worlds. Represented by Galerie Templon (Paris, Brussels, NYC), his works are held by the Musée de l’Orangerie and Bourdelle Museum, among others. 2023 saw major solo exhibitions in Paris. His presence at Knokke reinforces his standing as a modern master of material.
Anne Kuhn
Winner of the 2018 Grand Prix of Professional Photography, Kuhn’s orotones glisten with golden depth, recalling Curtis’s 19th-century process yet pushing it toward new frontiers. Her series Feminae Singulares reinvents sfumato with dual-layered photographic prints. Her fragmented orotone La Femme Papillon — twenty-seven lead-set pieces — is unveiled for the first time at Knokke. Rarity is not just a matter of number, but of presence.

Jörg Gessner
(on the cover)
Guardian of an ancient Japanese craft, Gessner works with washi — the world’s thinnest paper — to create sculptural forms that emit light from within. His research began with a seven-year residency in Japan, and his works, ethereal and radiant, remain in few but important collections. At Knokke, expect silence and glow, patience and light.
Claire Forgeot
A daughter of fire. Forgeot draws with flame, etching memory into paper. Her series Jardins Consumés began in 2019 and follows a quiet path of burnt trace and resurrection. L’Herbier de Rosa, a work forged over two years, is revealed for the first time at Knokke. Time here is an element, not a constraint.

Francesco Marino di Teana
Architect, poet, painter, sculptor, philosopher, di Teana forged monumental sculptures from Corten steel, inscribing philosophy into matter. His theory of tri-unity : 1+1 = 3, redefined the language of void and form. With works across 50 public spaces worldwide and honours from Venice to Buenos Aires, he remains one of Europe’s great sculptural voices. Knokke hosts this timeless presence.
Since its creation in 2020, Maison Galerie Laurence Pustetto has stood apart — not as a gallery in the conventional sense, but as a home where art lives and breathes among us. A place where white walls are replaced by warmth, and the domestic becomes a stage for aesthetic revelation. Art is a presence, a rhythm, a companion to daily life.
Laurence Pustetto does not curate displays, the works are not passive artefacts because they accompany and shape the tempo of life. She curates moments. Through her expertise and presence, guests are guided into the subtle art of collecting, the choreography of living with works that speak to those who understand that true engagement with art is never rushed, but revealed, a quiet deepening.
