I’ve never been the type of person who gravitates towards the beach.
However, growing up near the Pacific and the Caribbean, my family and I would spend countless weekends by the shore. As I entered adulthood, I found myself constantly under the coastal sun, a compromise I did to spend more time with my friends.
Over time, I realized that my lack of enthusiasm for beach destinations stemmed from feeling out of place amidst the beachside culture. It simply wasn’t my scene, not my personal milieu. And, perhaps most importantly, I always struggled with feeling poorly dressed in the options you usually get to wear—a true torment for me, if I’m being honest.
That’s precisely why I took it upon myself to create our own rendition of swim trunks—a fashion-forward take on the traditional nautical attire. With these, you can still indulge in your friend’s yacht excursions while feeling like you’re strutting confidently down a city sidewalk… It’s a passion project of mine.
